High officials of British company would be visiting Pakistan soon to finalise its deal regarding investment in the furniture industry, and select the land near Lahore for setting up its units. Punjab Industries, Commerce and Investment Minister Muhammad Ajmal Cheema disclosed this while talking to a delegation of furniture manufactures association here on Tuesday, disclosed an official.

The Minister said the British company wanted to start a joint venture with Pakistani companies in furniture industry adding the British company would also impart training of modern technology to furniture artisan.

He was of the view that with the investment of UK firm, the export of Pakistani furniture industry would be increased and thousands of new jobs would also be created.
